Comparative study of adenosine 3′‐pyrophosphokinase domains of MuF polymorphic toxins
With the ultimate goal of understanding the association of toxin‐immunity modules to temperate phages, we characterized toxins from three prophages and examined cross‐protection from immunity proteins. The toxins exhibit adenosine 3′‐pyrophosphokinase activity and are toxic in Escherichia coli.

Minimum Wages and Employment [PDF]
This paper investigates the effect of minimum wages on employment using a panel of US state-based data. We estimate a minimalist dynamic version of the specification implied by neo-classical theory.

Consistency between cross-sectional and longitudinal SNP: blood lipid associations [PDF]
Various studies have linked different genetic single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) to different blood lipids (BL), but whether these "connections” were identified using cross-sectional or longitudinal (i.e., changes over time) designs has received ...

The impact of frailty syndrome on skeletal muscle histology: preventive effects of exercise
Frailty syndrome exacerbates skeletal muscle degeneration via increased ECM deposition and myofiber loss. This study, using a murine model, demonstrates that endurance exercise attenuates these histopathological alterations, preserving muscle integrity. Findings support exercise as a viable strategy to counteract frailty‐induced musculoskeletal decline

Unit Root Tests for Panels in the Presence of Short-run and Long-run Dependencies: Nonlinear IV Approach with Fixed N and Large T [PDF]
An IV approach, using as instruments nonlinear transformations of the lagged levels, is explored to test for unit roots in panels with general dependency and heterogeneity across cross-sectional units.

Differential mortality and wealth accumulation [PDF]
An issue central to the life-cycle theory of consumer behavior, and to many policy questions, is asset accumulation and decumulation. One of the main implications of the life-cycle model is that assets are decumulated in the last part of life.

Asymptotics of Fubini-Study Currents for Sequences of Line Bundles [PDF]
We study the Fubini-Study currents and equilibrium metrics of continuous Hermitian metrics on sequences of holomorphic line bundles over a fixed compact K\"ahler manifold. We show that the difference between the Fubini-Study currents and the curvature of the equilibrium metric, when appropriately scaled, converges to 0 in the sense of currents.
