B4C-Al Composites Fabricated by the Powder Metallurgy Process
Due to the large thermal neutron absorption cross section of 10B, B4C-Al composites have been used as neutron absorbing materials in nuclear industries, which can offer not only good neutron shielding performance but also excellent mechanical properties.

Characterization of bulk MgB2 synthesized by infiltration and growth [PDF]
Superconducting MgB2 has been synthesized successfully by a modified infiltration and growth (IG) technique. The ambient pressure technique is relatively simple and scalable to complex shaped bulks.

Influence of pulse current during Spark Plasma Sintering evidenced on reactive alumina–hematite powders [PDF]
Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) is increasingly used. The temperature and current are not independent parameters, making it difficult to separate the current intrinsic role from Joule heating.

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.
