Encoded physics knowledge in checking codes for nuclear cross section libraries at Los Alamos [PDF]

open access: diamondEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
Checking procedures for processed nuclear data at Los Alamos are described. Both continuous energy and multi-group nuclear data are verified by locally developed checking codes which use basic physics knowledge and common-sense rules.

Full-cross-section deformation characterization of Cu/Al bimetallic tubes under Rotary-Draw-Bending based on physics-driven B-spline curves fitting

open access: goldMaterials & Design, 2022
It is difficult to detect the inner layer of the bimetallic tube and to describe its full-cross-section deformation, which negatively affects its verification and utility.

CROSS SECTION OF ELECTRON ANTINEUTRINO INTERACTION WITH 40AR AND 84KR AND ITS RELEVANCE TO GEONEUTRINO DETECTION

open access: yesJurnal Neutrino: Jurnal Fisika dan Aplikasinya, 2021
Neutrino can carry information from places that cannot be reached by the usual detection mechanism because it has a very weak interaction with matter. This can be utilized to study the heat flow process inside the earth by using information carried by ...

DsTau: study of tau neutrino production with nuclear emulsion in the CERN-SPS

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2022
Tau neutrino is one of the least known particle of Standard Model; there are only few measurements with a limited statistics. The DONUT experiment first reported the tau neutrino interaction cross-section but their measurement suffers from large ...

The impact of neutrino-nucleus interaction modeling on new physics searches

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Accurate neutrino-nucleus interaction modeling is an essential requirement for the success of the accelerator-based neutrino program. As no satisfactory description of cross sections exists, experiments tune neutrino-nucleus interactions to data to ...

Quantifying the second resonance effect in neutrino-Argon interaction using DUNE Near Detector

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
Heavy nuclear targets are used in neutrino oscillation experiments to boost the statistics of neutrino interactions. The complex nuclear environment contributes to the systematic uncertainty as the inevitable nuclear effects.
