Genetic Map Location of Afr-1: Results From Four Genetic Crosses
1988Afr-1 is a genetic locus in mice that controls the adult level of serum alpha-fetoprotein. Under normal circumstances, AFP synthesis is repressed shortly after birth, from levels approaching 10 million nanograms/milliliter to adult levels of only several hundred ng/ml (Olsson et al., 1977) .

Genetic analysis of the mouse using interspecific crosses
Trends in Genetics, 1988Abstract Interspecific mouse crosses used in conjunction with cloned sequences are facilitating gene localization and high resolution meiotic analysis of the mouse genome. Determination of the recombination breakpoints on individual chromosomes allows gene ordering by ‘pedigree analysis' rather than by recombination distance estimation alone.

Genetically encoded selective cross-linkers and emerging applications
Biochemical Society Transactions, 2020There has been a large amount of interest in the development of genetically encoded cross-linkers that target functional groups naturally present in cells. Recently, a new class of unnatural amino acids that specifically react with target residues were developed and genetically incorporated. The selective reaction shows higher cross-linking efficiency,

Population genetic aspects of cross-fertilization
1995A model that is often used to derive the population genetic implications of cross-fertilization is that of the panmictic population. For such a population one assumes: 1. random mating; 2. absence of random variation of allele frequencies; 3. absence of selection; 4. absence of mutation; 5. absence

The genetic detection of natural crossing in blackberry
Genetica, 19551. The pollination system in 4x blackberry was studied from vicinism (cross-pollination with neighbouring plants) in a row of Merton Thornless plants situated between rows of thornyRubus, using glandularv. eglandular cotyledons as markers. 2. Average hybridization was 17%, ranging from 5 to 32% in different flower samples.
