An inclusive insight on dietary resistant protein and protein hydrolysates: Structural intricacy, bioactivity and benefits on human health

open access: yesFood Biomacromolecules, EarlyView.
Abstract This assessment explores the health benefits of resistant proteins and protein hydrolysates in human nutrition, highlighting their bioactive properties and amino acid compositions. Resistant proteins, which withstand digestion and operate comparably to dietary fibre and protein hydrolysates, obtained from enzymatic breakdown of proteins ...

How does board gender diversity drive the ESG performance‐cash holdings relationship? Evidence from China

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract This study investigates the influence of board gender diversity on the relationship between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and corporate cash holdings in Chinese A‐share listed companies from 2015 to 2022. Our research shows that ESG performance is positively associated with cash holdings.

Is amnioinfusion for intrapartum variable decelerations effective? Evaluation of the total deceleration area: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Data regarding the efficiency of amnioinfusion in the presence of recurrent variable decelerations (VD) are limited. Total deceleration area (TDA) has been shown to be a useful indicator of both intrapartum fetal acid–base status and neonatal morbidity.

Determinants of residual myometrial thickness after cesarean delivery: Comparative analysis of barbed versus conventional sutures—A sub‐analysis from the SPIRAL trial

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective This sub‐analysis aimed to determine whether conventional suture‐associated risk factors for cesarean scar defect show similar outcomes with barbed continuous suturing, and to identify factors influencing residual myometrial thickness when using barbed continuous sutures.

Designing Teams for the Future: How a “Permeable Organizational Design” Intervention Enables Environmental Prognostication to Promote Turning Points in Team Trajectories

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Teams often struggle to sustain performance improvement over time, yet there is a lack of research on how to shift stagnant performance to a positive performance trajectory to create what we refer to as positive team turning points. We utilize situation awareness theory to explain how such change can be prompted by a design intervention that ...

Mapping interactions between winter recreationists and an endangered ungulate

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.
Southern mountain caribou are a federally designated species at risk, with declines occurring throughout their range. This species overlaps spatially and temporally in their late‐winter habitats with heli‐skiing, an activity that relies on helicopters to transport skiers to remote mountainous locales.

A new preclinical sheep model of medial meniscus anterior root repair. Part 2. Surgical strategy, technical considerations, pearls and pitfalls

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To address a gap in translational research by developing a preclinical sheep model of medial meniscus anterior root (MAR) repair in vivo and to compare probabilities of potential pitfalls and difficulties with humans. Methods Preoperative planning and surgical procedures applied to patients were adapted to adult sheep.

Solvent and Ion‐Mediated Behavior of a Thermoresponsive Brush: Specific Ion Effects in Methanol‐Water Electrolytes

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
The manifestation of specific ion effects in methanol‐water mixtures on polymer brush exemplars is explored. Spectroscopic ellipsometry and neutron reflectometry revealed solvent‐driven LCST changes in a thermoresponsive brush, which is also readily influenced by the presence of electrolytes.

Consumption of Ultra‐Processed Food and Risk of Non‐Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease: A Prospective Analysis of the Korean Genome and Epidemiology Study

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, EarlyView.
Definition of NAFLD: Fatty liver index (FLI) was used to diagnose the presence of NAFLD. The following formula was used to calculate the FLI, and when participants whose FLI ≥ 60 will be defined as NAFLD: FLI=e0.953×lnTGmg/dL+0.139×BMIkg/m2+0.718×lnGGTU/L+0.053×WCcm−15.7451+e0.953×lnTGmg/dL+0.139×BMIkg/m2+0.718×lnGGTU/L+0.053×WCcm−15.745×100${\mathrm ...
