Tunicate‐Inspired Carboxymethyl Cellulose Hydrogel Filler for Treating Age‐Associated Vocal Fold Atrophy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The pyrogallol‐conjugated carboxymethylcellulose (CMC‐PG) hydrogel is applicated as a filler for the treatment of presbylaryngis, a vocal fold atrophy. CMC‐PG provides a bulking effect to the vocal folds. CMC‐PG is readily injectable and tissue adhesive, enabling sustained release of growth factor over long period.

Exploring the BEC-BCS Crossover with an Ultracold Gas of $^6$Li Atoms

open access: yes, 2004
We present an overview of our recent measurements on the crossover from a Bose-Einstein condensate of molecules to a Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer superfluid.

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

Confinement as crossover [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The order parameter of confinement together with the haaron model of the QCD vacuum is reviewed and it is pointed out that confining forces are generated by the non-renormalizable, invariant Haar-measure vertices of the path integral.

Crossover from Reptation to Rouse dynamics in the Cage Model

open access: yes, 2006
The two-dimensional cage model for polymer motion is discussed with an emphasis on the effect of sideways motions, which cross the barriers imposed by the lattice.

Thermally Drawn Multifunctional All‐Hydrogel Fibers for Anti‐Fibrotic and Multimodal Neural Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrogels demonstrate material properties that mimic the mechanical and chemical environments of biological tissues. Yet, they face challenges during their integration into 3D interfaces. By identifying a class of thermoplastic hydrogels, a strategy is developed to pattern hydrogels in thermally drawn fibers.

Spin Gap and Superconductivity in Weakly Coupled Ladders: Interladder One-particle vs. Two-particle Crossover

open access: yes, 1999
Effects of the interladder one-particle hopping, $t_{\perp}$, on the low-energy asymptotics of a weakly coupled Hubbard ladder system have been studied, based on the perturbative renormalization-group approach.
