Agricultural productivity and soil and water conservation index in dual‐purpose corn production using fuzzy modeling

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Soil structure and soil organic carbon are key variables for the sustainability of agricultural production in tropical environments, yet their interactions with crop yield remain difficult to quantify. The objective of this study was to propose and evaluate the agricultural productivity and soil and water conservation index (APSWCI) as a tool ...

Assessing the impact of perennial groundcover and interseeded annual cover crops on maize yield and drainage water quality

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Quality, Volume 55, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract The low adoption of annual cover crops in the United States Corn Belt has motivated research into novel cover cropping systems that mitigate the degrading of water quality due to soil and nutrient loss without compromising corn (Zea mays L.) yield.

Acúmulo e liberação de P, K, Ca e Mg em crotalária e milheto solteiros e consorciados

open access: yesRevista Ceres, 2010
As características das leguminosas e gramíneas usadas como plantas de cobertura são bastante conhecidas, mas a velocidade com que os nutrientes associados à biomassa vegetal tornam-se disponíveis às culturas é ainda pouco estudada.

Residual Chemical Shift Anisotropies in the Structure Determination of Small Molecules

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 286-311, March 2026.
Plasma neutrophil elastase(ELANE) was markedly elevated in patients with alcohol use disorder, indicating a dysregulated protease‐antiprotease inflammatory balance characterised by decreased SERPINA3. ELANE showed excellent diagnostic specificity(AUC = 0.8683), supporting its potential utility as a neuroinflammatory biomarker for AUD.

Prospective of indigenous African wild food plants in alleviation of the severe iron deficiency anaemia in Sub‐Saharan Africa

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 2, Page 486-498, March 2026.
Iron deficiency anaemia remains a major public health challenge in Sub‐Saharan Africa, where population growth, displacement and limited resources heighten nutritional insecurity. We compiled a list of indigenous African underutilized wild food plants and examined their potential for addressing micronutrient deficiencies.
