Curvature‐Tuned Friction at Electrified Ionic Liquid Interfaces
Graphene curvature plays a key role in friction electrotunability at single‐asperity contacts lubricated by ionic liquids. A 9 nm radius yields stronger tunability than larger radii, with distinct friction coefficients at low and high loads indicating a shift in the slippage plane.

Multi‐level features extraction network with gating mechanism for crowd counting
Crowd counting is still a practical and challenging problem owing to scale variations and information loss. Most existing methods based on the straightforward fusion of different features from a deep neural network seem to eliminate this limitation ...

PDANet: Pyramid Density-aware Attention Net for Accurate Crowd Counting
Crowd counting, i.e., estimating the number of people in a crowded area, has attracted much interest in the research community. Although many attempts have been reported, crowd counting remains an open real-world problem due to the vast scale variations ...

Structural and Chemical Engineering of Sub‐Nanochannel Membranes Toward Ion Selectivity
This review summarizes recent advances in structural and chemical engineering of sub‐nanochannels for ion selectivity. We first introduce fundamental ion transport mechanisms within sub‐nanochannels, followed by strategies to tune pore size, geometry, and surface functionalities, categorized into charge‐based, ion‐recognition, hydrophilic bonding, and ...

Occlusion is one of the fundamental challenges in crowd counting. In the community, various data-driven approaches have been developed to address this issue, yet their effectiveness is limited. This is mainly because most existing crowd counting datasets on which the methods are trained are based on passive cameras, restricting their ability to fully ...

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

Multi‐level feature fusion network for crowd counting
Crowd counting has become a noteworthy vision task due to the needs of numerous practical applications, but it remains challenging. State‐of‐the‐art methods generally estimate the density map of the crowd image with the high‐level semantic features of ...

To dissect how mechanical forces influence intestinal physiology, we developed a stretchable 3D colon‐on‐chip that integrates tunable topography, stiffness and peristalsis‐like motion within a physiologically relevant microenvironment. We showed that stretching is a dominant factor governing epithelial behavior, markedly enhancing proliferation and ...
