Crown Gall Tumor Formation

Agrobacterium tumefaciens causes a disease known as crown gall in many species of dicotyledons. The disease is characterized by production of a non-selflimited, nondifferentiated neoplastic growth, to be distinguished from insectinduced galls, which are self-limiting (Braun, 1969).
