Determination of hydrogen concentration influence on stresses in structures [PDF]
У переважній більшості експлуатація металевих конструкцій у робочих умовах призводить до того, що на ці конструкції або на певні їх елементи постійно діють не лише механічні фактори (навантаження, залишкові напруження й т.

Microanatomical features of bovids long bones: What are the effects of mass and habitat?
This study provides the first qualitative and quantitative exploration of inter‐bones and interspecific variations in the microanatomy of long bones in bovids in response to significant changes in body mass and habitat. Abstract Bovids are a valuable group for studying limb long bone adaptations due to differences in size and the environment that the ...

Abstract The mesophotic zone off Tanegashima Island (approximately 30–40 m deep) is a marine macroalgal hotspot in subtropical Japan; however, the taxonomic diversity of calcifying red algal community remains poorly understood. Our phylogenetic analyses based on psbA, rbcL, and COI‐5P gene markers disclosed the presence of at least 12 rhodolith‐forming

Strain controlled biaxial stretch: An experimental characterization of natural rubber [PDF]
In this paper we provide new experimental data showing the response of 40A natural rubber in uniaxial, pure shear and biaxial tension. Real-time biaxial strain control allows for independent and automatic variation of the velocity of extension and ...

Cruciform shape benefits for experimental and numerical evaluation of sheet metal formability
International audienceThe optimization of sheet metal forming processes requires accurate evaluations of material forming abilities. This paper presents an original technique based on the use of a cruciform shape for experimental characterization and ...

Abstract Objective To describe a repeated‐measures model permitting evaluation of up to four implants intended for maxillofacial applications in sheep. Animals Two‐year‐old Merino wethers (n = 5). Methods A retromandibular subparotid approach was developed through anatomical study of atlases, predissected models and cadaveric experiments.

Novel direct method on the life prediction of component under high temperature-creep fatigue conditions [PDF]
This paper presents a novel direct method, within the Linear Matching Method (LMM) framework, for the direct evaluation of steady state cyclic behaviour of structures subjected to high temperature – creep fatigue conditions.

Behaviour of pultruded beam-to-column joints using steel web cleats [PDF]
Response of pultruded Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) beam-to-column joints with steel bolted web cleats is studied through physical testing. Two joint configurations are considered with either three or two bolts per cleat leg, as per drawings in a ...

The COL12A1 rs970547(A/A) polymorphism is over‐represented in Chinese male anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury patients. This variant destabilizes COL12A1 protein without altering transcript levels, driving compensatory upregulation of other collagen genes and inducing endoplasmic reticulum stress in ACL‐derived fibroblasts.

Energy dissipation and equivalent damping of RC columns subjected to biaxial bending: an investigation based in experimental results [PDF]
The cyclic behaviour of reinforced concrete columns have been object of many experimental studies in the recent past years. However, the experimental studies on the biaxial response of RC columns are still limited.
