Multifractal relationship between decomposed oil price shocks and trading volume

open access: yesHumanities & Social Sciences Communications
The decomposition of oil price shocks is crucial for understanding the multifractal nature of price-volume dynamics in crude oil futures. Using the structural vector autoregression (SVAR), this study decomposes the crude oil futures prices into three ...

Logistics Aspect of Offshore Support Vessels on the West Africa Market

open access: yesPromet (Zagreb), 2013
With the rapidly increasing global energy needs, offshore oil production has become an attractive source of energy. Supplying offshore oil production installations is a complex logistics problem that hinges on many factors with significant uncertainties.

Oil and product price dynamics in international petroleum markets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper we investigate crude oil and products price dynamics. We present a comparison among ten prices series of crude oils and fourteen price series of petroleum products, considering four distinct market areas (Mediterranean, North Western Europe,

Multi‐Targeting Non‐Specific Genome Engineering in Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we provide the first case to use the multi‐targeting integrase (MTI) systems in bacteria and develop a host‐independent generalizable approach, MNGE (Multi‐targeting Non‐specific Genome Engineering), for multi‐copy and random integration of metabolic genes or pathways in both Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, which will ...

Carboranyl‐Curcuminoids for the Neutron Capture‐Based Treatment of Amyloid Aggregates in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The 10B‐enriched monocarbonyl analog of curcumin (BMAC) 10B‐9 enables site‐specific Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) on amyloid‐β (Aβ) fibrils. Neutron irradiation induces histidine oxidation and fibril destabilization, as revealed by 1H‐NMR and FESEM analyses.

A Model for the Global Crude Oil Market Using a Multi-Pool MCP Approach [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes a partial equilibrium model to describe the global crude oil market. Pricing on the global crude oil market is strongly influenced by price indices such as WTI (USA) and Brent (Northwest Europe).

Reduced‐Graphene Oxide Nanofiltration Membranes Intercalated by Conjugated Polyaromatics: Towards High Monovalent Salt Rejections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate the fabrication of a series of reduced‐GO nanofiltration membranes containing intercalated polyaromatic conjugated molecules of different structural classes. These tuned‐nanochannel membranes perform “deep nanofiltration” with remarkably high monovalent salt rejections and near‐total divalent salt rejections in a large concentration ...

Did the price control achieve its goal? [PDF]

open access: yes
As a result of the 1973 oil embargo and the subsequent increase of world oil prices, the oil price control program took place in order to reduce the impact of sharply higher external oil prices.

Oil price shocks: A comparative study on the impacts of oil price movements in Malaysia and the UK economies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The study investigates the relationship between changes in crude oil prices and Malaysia and the UK macro-economy. A multivariate VAR analysis is carried out among five key macroeconomic variables: real gross domestic product, short term interest rate ...

Constraint of Lignin–Carbohydrate Complex Orchestrated on Polyphenol in Oil–Water Interface Targeting Ulcerative Colitis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the W1/O/W2 emulsion–based targeted therapy delivery system for ulcerative colitis (UC) utilizing LCC as surfactant for the first time. This multifunctional emulsion offered certain therapeutic advantages for UC, including targeted colonic delivery of active compounds, synergistic modulation of gut microbiota through combined ...
