Rheological and geothermal features of the Okhotsk sea plume
The relevance of the research is caused by the need to reveal the tectonic nature of the Sea of Okhotsk and the deep structure of a tectonosphere in the transitional zone «continent-ocean» because the oil-gas forecasting in this region is connected with ...

GEODYNAMIC ACTIVITY OF THE LITHOSPHERE AND PROBLEMS OF TECTONOPHYSICS – OUTLOOK AFTER 35 YEARS
Reviewed are aspects of modern geodynamics and methods of mapping of geodynamic processes which have been developed since 1960s in the Institute of the Earth's Crust, Siberian Branch of RAS (specifically since 1980s by the Laboratory of Tectonophysics ...

The decompression of the outer neutron star crust and r-process nucleosynthesis
The rapid neutron-capture process, or r-process, is known to be fundamental for explaining the origin of approximately half of the A>60 stable nuclei observed in nature. In recent years nuclear astrophysicists have developed more and more sophisticated r-

“Unknown by you, they really watch you!”: experiencing the ageing, physically active body in cardiac rehabilitation. [PDF]
There is a dearth of research on how the physically active body is experienced during rehabilitation from serious illness. This paper presents data obtained through fourteen interviews completed with participants in a cardiac rehabilitation scheme.

The synthesis of a new silepin with a sterically encumbered silyl ligand was achieved, which shows a spectral observable equilibrium towards the isomeric acyclic silylene at room temperature. The equilibrium was analyzed by VT NMR and UV/Vis measurements supported by DFT calculations.

Neutron Star Asteroseismology. Axial Crust Oscillations in the Cowling Approximation [PDF]
Recent observations of quasi-periodic oscillations in the aftermath of giant flares in soft gamma-ray repeaters suggest a close coupling between the seismic motion of the crust after a major quake and the modes of oscillations in a magnetar. In this paper we consider the purely elastic modes of oscillation in the crust of a neutron star in the ...
