Nuclear Superfluidity and Cooling Time of Neutron-Star Crust [PDF]
We analyse the effect of neutron superfluidity on the cooling time of inner crust matter in neutron stars, in the case of a rapid cooling of the core. The specific heat of the inner crust, which determines the thermal response of the crust, is calculated in the framework of HFB approach at finite temperature.

Microscopic Vortex Velocity in the Inner Crust and Outer Core of Neutron Stars [PDF]
Treatment of the vortex motion in the superfluids of the inner crust and the outer core of neutron stars is a key ingredient in modeling a number of pulsar phenomena, including glitches and magnetic field evolution.

Upper edge of the neutron star crust : the drip point and around [PDF]
A semi-microscopic self-consistent quantum approach developed recently to describe the inner crust structure of neutron stars within the Wigner-Seitz method with the explicit inclusion of neutron and proton pairing correlations is used for finding the neutron drip point which separates the outer and inner crusts.

The Levantine Basin - crustal structure and origin [PDF]
The origin of the Levantine Basin in the Southeastern Mediterranean Sea is related to the opening of the Neo-Tethys. The nature of its crust has been debated for decades. Therefore, we conducted a geophysical experiment in the Levantine Basin.

A 86-year-old fully bedridden woman with dementia and chronic kidney disease presented with extensive, grey-yellowish hyperkeratotic plaques located on the palms, axillae, chest, and face that had occurred 3 months ago (Fig. 1). Moreover, a generalized rash with thickening of the skin and intense pruritus was present. Dematoscopy revealed several dense

NATURAL-TECHNOLOGICAL DISASTERS AS MANIFESTATIONS OF GEODYNAMIC INSTABILITY OF THE EARTH'S CRUST
The relevance. Geodynamic instability is the cause of many natural disasters: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, tsunamis. Natural disasters can trigger man-made accidents (collapse of buildings and structures, explosions in mines, dam ...
