A fractal model for crustal deformation
It is hypothesized that crustal deformation occurs on a scale-invariant matrix of faults. For simplicity, a two-dimensional pattern of hexagons on which strike-slip faulting occurs is considered. The behavior of the system is controlled by a single parameter, the fractal dimension. Deformation occurs on all scales of faults.

This study innovates a Ca2+‐responsive hydrogel dressing that releases AIE photosensitizers on‐demand. Low Ca2+ enhances bacterial hyaluronidase (HAase) activity, degrading hyaluronic acid dressing to trigger antibacterial ROS release, while high Ca2+ inhibits HAase, preventing overdosing.

Composite sourdough breads were developed from blends of unripe plantain, tiger nut, and fenugreek flours. Optimized formulations improved pasting stability and enhanced texture, producing softer more elastic crumbs. The enriched breads contained higher dietary fiber and bioactive compounds, and significantly reduced serum cholesterol markers ...

Industrial manufacturing processes have transformative effects on the components of food matrix. These transformations in food matrix and components have direct implications for quality assurance (QA), food quality (e.g., nutritional profile and texture), and food safety management (e.g., pathogen control and toxin mitigation). ABSTRACT This systematic
