Cryoablation:

Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, 2004
The use of cryoablation in the electrophysiology lab provides some distinct advantages not seen with conventional radiofrequency ablation. Ice mapping allows a functional assessment of a putative ablation site prior to the formation of a permanent lesion.

Cryoablation in the Musculoskeletal System

Current Problems in Diagnostic Radiology, 2008
Pain palliation can be challenging in patients with metastases to the musculoskeletal system, and conventional therapy can be less than optimal for pain management. Recent advances in technology have allowed for the addition of image-guided ablation to the armamentarium for treating musculoskeletal metastases. This article focuses on one such technique,

Cryoablation and immunotherapy of cancer

Current Opinion in Biotechnology, 2020
Cryoablation is a hypothermic modality exercised as a focal therapy for annihilating cancer lesions. Its application leaves the ablated tumor in situ, allowing multifarious tumor antigens to be available to the host's immune system. This ensues the activation of innate and adaptive immunity against the tumor antigens.
