In patients with atrial fibrillation and HFmrEF/HFrEF, catheter ablation was associated with lower mortality and improved cardiac function compared with conventional medical therapy, while cardiovascular hospitalization was not significantly reduced. The overall certainty of evidence ranged from moderate to high.

Clinical Characteristics and Timing of Accessory Pathway Reconduction During Catheter Ablation of Accessory Pathways

Intra‐procedural accessory pathway reconduction occurred in 18% of patients, with 65.2% of events detected ≥ 15 min after initial pathway elimination. Reconduction was associated with a higher rate of late recurrence, supporting careful assessment for conduction recovery during the post‐ablation waiting period.

Hemoglobin Levels as a Marker of Arrhythmia Recurrence After Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

Lower hemoglobin levels are associated with increased arrhythmia recurrence after radiofrequency ablation but not cryoballoon ablation. The stronger association in patients with non‐paroxysmal AF suggests that low hemoglobin may reflect an adverse atrial substrate rather than a procedural effect.
