Association Between the Change in Interleukin‐6 Levels and Early Recurrence of Atrial Fibrillation: A Comparison of Pulsed Field Ablation and Radiofrequency Ablation

Despite causing greater myocardial injury and hemolysis, pulsed field ablation induces significantly less systemic inflammation than radiofrequency ablation. This reduced inflammatory response is independently associated with a lower incidence of early atrial fibrillation recurrence.

Association Between Temperature Management Using Passive Thermal Insulation and a Modified Aldrete Score During Cryoablation of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation Under General Anesthesia

This study demonstrated that the Δ in core temperature was significantly lower in the Blanket (blue bar) group than in the Control (red bar) group and the passive thermal insulation using heat insulation blankets significantly decreased the rate of hypothermia‐induced unsuccessful early recovery from general anesthesia from 64% to 37%.

Clinical Vulnerability Refines Rhythm‐Related Outcomes in Older Patients Undergoing Pulmonary Vein Isolation for Atrial Fibrillation: An Observational Cohort Study

In patients undergoing pulmonary vein isolation, age ≥ 75 years was associated with greater recurrence‐related rhythm intervention. However, outcomes varied markedly among older adults. A simple score incorporating persistent AF, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, and valve disease identified elderly patients with low or high clinical vulnerability.
