CHARACTERIZATION OF LACCASE ACTIVITY PRODUCED BYCryptococcus albidus
Preparative Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 2012This study deals with the characterization of laccase enzyme activity produced by Cryptococcus albidus. Industrial wastes like effluent and sludge are complex mixtures of a number of chemicals. These chemicals can interfere with the proper functioning of the enzymes used for bioremediation.

Ethylene production from l-methionine by Cryptococcus albidus
Journal of Fermentation and Bioengineering, 1989Abstract Cryptococcus albidus IFO 0939 was selected from microorganisms producing ethylene from l -methionine in a culture medium. When methionine was excluded from the culture medium of C. albidus , there was little production of ethylene. Ethylene production in a methionine-containing culture medium occurred for a brief period at the end of the

Molecular expression of xylanase gene in Cryptococcus albidus
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Gene Structure and Expression, 1985In the yeast Cryptococcus albidus, the utilization of xylan as compared to xylose requires at least an inducible endoxylanase enzyme, secreted in the culture medium. The endoxylanase induction was monitored by immunoprecipitation of in vivo and in vitro synthesized products.

Cryptococcus albidus and Mucormycosis Empyema in a Patient Receiving Hemodialysis
Southern Medical Journal, 1993C albidus and mucormycosis were cultured simultaneously from the pleural space of a patient with end-stage renal disease receiving long-term hemodialysis. There have been only nine previous reports of infection with C albidus, with only one involving the lung.

Isolation of Cryptococcus albidus var. albidus in patient with pemphigus foliaceus.
Gaoxiong yi xue ke xue za zhi = The Kaohsiung journal of medical sciences, 1989Cryptococcus albidus var. albidus was isolated from the blood of a patient with pemphigus foliaceus after steroid therapy. This organism was found in triple extract peptone medium which is used in our laboratory for blood culture to detect aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.

Lipid production by Cryptococcus albidus using biowastes hydrolysed by indigenous microbes
Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering, 2019The efficiency of Cryptococcusalbidus was evaluated for its abilities to assimilate onion and apple hydrolysates as a medium for lipid production. Onion waste (OW) and apple waste (AW) were hydrolysed at an organic load of 2% total solids by indigenous microbes under mesophilic conditions.

Preliminary study of the pectolytic activity of Cryptococcus albidus var. albidus.
Bollettino della Societa italiana di biologia sperimentale, 1984A preliminary study was done on the pectolytic activity of Cryptococcus albidus var. albidus. Cell-free culture broths of six strains of this yeast species were shown to degrade pectin hydrolytically by means of a polygalacturonase-pectinmethylesterase system. Neither pectin nor pectate lyase activities were detected.
