Contemporary Applications of Chemical Libraries for Drug Discovery and Methods for Their Synthesis
Screening of chemical libraries has over the past decades become a cornerstone of drug discovery. Today, a broad range of chemical libraries exist but they are often not well described in terms of diversity. This review describes current efforts which aim to visualize chemical diversity in compound collections and discuss current trends in synthetic ...

Moist heat inactivation of Cryptosporidium sp. [PDF]
Cryptosporidia that were infective for infant mice were subjected to various moist heat treatments and subsequently tested in infant mice for infectivity. Warming from 9 degrees C to 55 degrees C over a period of 15 to 20 minutes neutralized infectivity in calf feces, cecal contents, and ileal scrapings.

ABSTRACT Cockroaches are known reservoirs for diverse bacterial microbiomes. However, comprehensive analyses of the eukaryotic communities within cockroaches remain limited. In this study, we selected three long‐term laboratory‐reared cockroach species (Blattella germanica, Periplaneta fuliginosa, and Periplaneta japonica) and performed metabarcoding ...

ABSTRACT The gill parasite Sparicotyle chrysophrii poses a significant threat to gilthead sea bream (Sparus aurata) aquaculture in the Mediterranean, causing considerable mortality and economic losses. As traditional chemotherapeutic treatments, like formalin, face growing regulatory restrictions, there is an urgent need for alternative control ...

Sheep may not be an important zoonotic reservoir for Cryptosporidium and Giardia parasites
Little is known of the prevalence of Cryptosporidium and Giardia parasites in sheep and the genotypes that they harbor, although potentially sheep may contribute significantly to contamination of watersheds.
