Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Control of Intrinsic Defects in Lithium Niobate Single Crystal for Optoelectronic Applications
A single crystal of lithium niobate is an important optoelectronic material. It can be grown from direct melt only in a lithium deficient non-stoichiometric form as its stoichiometric composition exhibits incongruent melting.

Effect of nanohole size on selective area growth of InAs nanowire arrays on Si substrates
We have investigated the influence of nanohole size on selective-area growth (SAG) of InAs nanowire (NW) arrays on Si(111) substrates by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition.

Crystal Growth Kinetics of Pharmaceutical Compounds
The crystal growth kinetics of piracetam, fenofibrate, phenylbutazone, acetaminophen, carbamazepine, and risperidone in methanol have been studied by two different methods; the isothermal seeded desupersaturation experiment (ISD) and the rotating disk ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Numerical Modelling of the Czochralski Growth of β-Ga2O3
Our numerical modelling of the Czochralski growth of single crystalline β-Ga 2 O 3 crystals (monoclinic symmetry) starts at the 2D heat transport analysis within the crystal growth furnace, proceeds with the 3D heat transport and fluid ...
