Landau theory of barocaloric plastic crystals
Abstract We present a minimal Landau theory of plastic-to-crystal phase transitions in which the key components are a multipole-moment order parameter that describes the orientational ordering of the constituent molecules, coupling between such order parameter and elastic strains, and thermal expansion.

Local ordering and dynamics of plastic crystals
Many materials of scientific interest show a disordered phase, with their molecules presenting positional disorder, orientational disorder or both. Processes of interest to life also occur in these kind of phases as it is the case of liquid water present in many biochemical problems of interest such as protein folding.

Gate‐Tunable Hole Transport in In‐Plane Ge Nanowires by V‐Groove Confined Selective Epitaxy
Ge nanowires are promising for hole spin‐based quantum processors, requiring direct integration onto Si wafers. This work introduces V‐groove‐confined selective epitaxy for in‐plane nanowire growth on Si. Structural and low‐temperature transport measurements confirm their high crystalline quality, gate‐tunable hole densities, and mobility.

Carbon Nanotube 3D Integrated Circuits: From Design to Applications
As Moore's law approaches its physical limits, carbon nanotube (CNT) 3D integrated circuits (ICs) emerge as a promising alternative due to the miniaturization, high mobility, and low power consumption. CNT 3D ICs in optoelectronics, memory, and monolithic ICs are reviewed while addressing challenges in fabrication, design, and integration.

A Strong and Water‐Retaining Biomass Adhesive Inspired by Tofu
Drawing inspiration from the formation mechanism of the traditional food tofu, a strong and water‐retaining adhesive is designed using the soybean meal (SM) oxidized by glucose oxidase (GOx) and calcium sulfate oligomer (CSO). This design strategy effectively addresses the conflicting requirements of water‐resistant bonding strength and water retention
