Two‐Way Shape Memory Polymer Composite Gripper for Adaptive Robotic Applications
A two‐way shape memory polymer (SMP) composite is developed with intrinsic shape‐changing capability driven solely by temperature, eliminating external actuation loads. Embedding the SMP in a low‐stiffness elastomeric matrix enabled reversible transformations during heating and cooling cycles.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Chemically Doped Conductive Polymers for Wearable Health Monitoring
Among conductive polymers, poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), polyaniline (PANI), and polypyrrole (PPy) are the most studied and applied. Chemical doping significantly boosts intrinsic conductivity and mechanical robustness.

A grain boundary formulation for crystal plasticity
A three-dimensional grain-boundary formulation for small strains crystal plasticity is presented for the first time. The method is developed and implemented for both single grains and polycrystalline aggregates and it is based on the use of a suitable ...

Significant progress has been made during the past decade in incorporating micromechanics in continuum descriptions of inelastic deformation. This has led to the development of a rather comprehensive constitutive theory for rate-dependent and idealized rate-independent crystalline materials that deform plastically by crystalline slip.
