Spatiotemporal Control Over Protein Release from Artificial Cells via a Light‐Activatable Protease
Stimulus‐responsive protein release is essential for intercellular communication. Mimicking this functionality in artificial cells is promising to study the working principles of cellular signaling. Herein, an engineered light‐activatable protease is implemented in a coacervate‐based artificial cell platform to establish user‐defined spatiotemporal ...

The G Gravitational Parameter and the Concepts of Mass and Dark Matter [PDF]
The gravitational coupling parameter G is determined by a non riemannian curvature scalar of a background substratum. This substratum represents an inertial solution to the nonlinear equations of a geometric unified theory and provides a limit solution to general solutions in the theory.

Toward Design Principles for Biomolecular Condensates for Metabolic Pathways
Biomolecular condensates are membrane‐less compartments found through‐out nature which can serve as reaction crucibles for biochemical processes. This review explores the design strategies underlying how condensates can be used in biotechnology to enhance multistep enzyme cascades including enhancement by mass action and substrate channeling, and ...

General Relativity and Spatial Flows: I. Absolute Relativistic Dynamics [PDF]
Two complementary and equally important approaches to relativistic physics are explained. One is the standard approach, and the other is based on a study of the flows of an underlying physical substratum. Previous results concerning the substratum flow approach are reviewed, expanded, and more closely related to the formalism of General Relativity.

The Vitality & Revitalisation of Minority Language: The Case of Dusun in Brunei Darussalam
Language extinction or language death is a sociolinguistic phenomenon that is often discussed among linguists or speakers in general (Aitchison, 2001; Crystal, 2000; Dalby, 2003; Mufwene, 2004; Nelson, 2007; Fishman, 2002; 2007).

Metals in the shell of Bathymodiolus azoricus from a hydrothermal vent site on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge [PDF]
Specimens of the mussel Bathymodiolus azoricus were collected from Menez Gwen, a relatively shallow (850 m) hydrothermal vent field on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Each bivalve shell (n = 21) was individually cleaned by selective chemical.

The study presents an efficient simulation approach for the polymer laser powder bed fusion process polymers process, validated with polyamide 12, polyamide 6, and polyetherketoneketone. It shows that inter layer time affects part density, with 90s yielding dense parts.

This article examines the effect of postprocessing heat treatment on 316L stainless steel (SS316L) produced via laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). Heat treatment slightly affects property anisotropy, reduces strength, and enhances elongation. However, it increases corrosion susceptibility due to nanoscale precipitations, though overall corrosion ...

A hybrid system for de‐icing made of gradient polymer coatings, deposited on aluminum coupled with an electromechanical system, is demonstrated as an effective and durable strategy for reducing drastically ice adhesion. The system is capable of detaching ice blocks over the coating in less than 1 s, regardless of the ice type and covered area ...
