The Origin and Physico-Chemical Properties of Some Unusual Earth Rock Fragments

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
In this paper, several researches were undertaken related to a violent phenomenon, characterized by a sonic boom, felt on an area of at least 500 km2, shortly followed by the fall of rock fragments that were then recovered from the ground.

Control of morphology and crystallinity of CNTs in flame synthesis with one-dimensional reaction zone

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2023
The growth of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in a flame requires conditions that are difficult to achieve in a highly heterogeneous environment. Therefore, the analysis of the properties of the reaction zone within the flame is critical for the optimal growth ...

Crystalline Boragermenes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, 2020
AbstractBoragermene 3 featuring a double bond between the Ge and dicoordinate B atoms has been synthesized for the first time by reacting the cyclic (alkyl)(boryl)germylene–PMe3 adduct 1 with Cl2BN(SiMe3)2 followed by reductive dehalogenation with KC8.

Crystalline confinement [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of 31st International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory LATTICE 2013 — PoS(LATTICE 2013), 2014
We show that exotic phases arise in generalized lattice gauge theories known as quantum link models in which classical gauge fields are replaced by quantum operators. While these quantum models with discrete variables have a finite-dimensional Hilbert space per link, the continuous gauge symmetry is still exact.

Tailoring crystallinity of electrospun Plla fibres by control of electrospinning parameters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) fibers were fabricated by electrospinning. The effects of various electrospinning process parameters on the thermal properties, especially the crystallinity of the electrospun fibers were investigated.

Crystallinity versus mass-loss rate in Asymptotic Giant Branch stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) observations have shown that O-rich Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars exhibit crystalline silicate features in their spectra only if their mass-loss rate is higher than a certain threshold value.
