[Treatment of burn shock with crystalloid solutions].
The authors describe their experience of the treatment of burn shock in 124 patients with the square surface of the thermal injury about 20-49% of the body surface with the help of crystalloid solutions. The investigation of a number of parameters of hemodynamics, hemoconcentration, metabolism showed that patients with the Frank index 20-60 could be ...

ABSTRACT Background Septic arthritis (SA) is considered the most harmful etiology in patients presenting with an acutely painful swollen knee. This study aimed to estimate the incidence, mortality rate, and cause of death among patients diagnosed with SA and compare it to non‐infectious causes.

ABSTRACT Purpose Congenital heart disease affects 1% of US births, with some infants requiring cardiothoracic surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Optimal surgical parameters to minimize neuronal injury are unknown. We used serial 1H MRS in a neonatal CPB porcine model to assess acute neuronal damage and associated injury mechanisms.

Background and Objectives: Acute normovolemic hemodilution (ANH) is commonly used to minimize perioperative blood loss and transfusion requirements. While it is considered safe, the molecular effects of ANH on vital organs remain unclear.

Abstract Scrotal exteriorisation of abdominal viscera is rarely reported in domestic rabbits and constitutes a surgical emergency. This report describes traumatic inguinoscrotal herniation of the urinary bladder in a domestic rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), a 4‐month‐old entire male, following bite‐induced scrotal avulsion during territorial aggression.

Abstract A 4‐year‐old, male, neutered Pomeranian presented with a 3‐week history of an acute‐onset Grade 3/5 left pelvic limb lameness, with no reported history of trauma. Radiographic and computed tomographic studies revealed separation of the left patella into multiple small variably sized, minimally displaced, bony fragments, with rounded margins. A

ABSTRACT Crystal‐storing histiocytosis (CSH) is a rare histopathologic phenomenon characterized by the accumulation of crystalline material within histiocytes, most often associated with lymphoplasmacytic or plasma cell neoplasms. Cutaneous involvement is uncommon and may present diagnostic challenges.

Abstract The adult Langendorff methodology lacks standardization, with inconsistencies in the pH and calcium concentrations of Krebs–Henseleit (K‐H) solution. The aim of this study was to clarify these inconsistencies. Adult male Wistar rat hearts were subjected to 40 or 80 min of global ischemia followed by reperfusion.
