Pricing dynamics and herding behaviour of NFTs

open access: yesEuropean Financial Management, Volume 31, Issue 2, Page 670-710, March 2025.
Abstract This paper analyzes the sales of 875,389 art nonfungible tokens (NFTs) on the Ethereum blockchain to identify the key determinants influencing NFT pricing and market dynamics. We find that market liquidity and trade volume are strong predictors of NFT prices. Contrarily, social media activity negatively correlates with prices.

Acrylamide induces spatiotemporal metabolic profiling disturbance via targeting taurine and hypotaurine metabolism during early zebrafish development

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 6, Issue 1, Page 282-299, January 2025.
This study provides in‐depth evidence on the metabolic regulation of zebrafish embryos with acrylamide exposure at different zebrafish developmental stages. The pattern of significantly changed metabolites revealed that acrylamide exposure has a detrimental effect on early heart development in zebrafish due to the inhibition of de novo synthesis of ...

Research on the Antiaging Activity of Licorice Water Extract in Aging Mice via Antioxidation, Neuronal Protection, Gut Microbiota Restoration, and PI3K/AKT/mTOR Modulation

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background Aging is a multifaceted physiological process characterized by progressive multiorgan dysfunction, oxidative stress, neuronal injury, cognitive impairment, and alterations in gut microbiota composition. Licorice, a widely used traditional medicinal herb, contains diverse bioactive constituents; however, its overall antiaging properties and ...

Bile acid regulation of hepatic CSAD

open access: yes, 2014
AimBile acid synthesis is regulated by nuclear receptors including farnesoid X receptor (FXR) and small heterodimer partner (SHP), and by fibroblast growth factor 15/19 (FGF15/19). We hypothesized that hepatic cysteine sulfinic acid decarboxylase (CSAD) (a key enzyme in taurine synthesis) is regulated by bile acids (BA).

Characterization of the PLP-dependent decarboxylases GADL1 and CSAD

open access: yes, 2022
Pyridoxal 5’-phosphate (PLP) -dependent enzymes constitute an essential superfamily of enzymes for all living organisms. Due to the chemistry of their cofactor, PLP, these enzymes catalyze a wide variety of reactions. PLP-dependent decarboxylases (PLPDCs) play key roles in amino acid metabolism and are considered important biocatalysts for the ...

De novo biosynthesis and nicotinamide biotransformation of nicotinamide mononucleotide by engineered yeast cells

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 17, Issue 11, November 2024.
Metabolic engineering of P. pastoris achieves NMN production by semi‐biosynthesis and de novo biosynthesis, which represents the highest yield of de novo synthesis of NMN from basic carbon sources yet reported. Abstract β‐Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a precursor of NAD+ in mammals.
