18β‐Glycyrrhetinic Acid and a Nano‐Liposomal Formulation Alleviate Depression‐Like Behaviors via the Microglial mTOR‐Autophagy‐NLRP3 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using a novel zebrafish‐based inflammatory screening strategy, we screened and identified 18β‐glycyrrhetinic acid (18β‐GA) as a promising anti‐inflammatory candidate. We uncover a microglial mTOR–autophagy–NLRP3 axis that constitutes the mechanistic core of 18β‐GA–mediated neuroprotection.

Predicting and Rationalizing Piezoelectricity in Racemic Bioorganic Molecular Crystals

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Racemic molecular crystals, composed of equal mixtures of chiral enantiomeric components, are predicted to exhibit significant piezoelectric responses and favourable mechanical flexibility. This study identifies organic and bioorganic racemates as promising candidates for sustainable, lead‐free materials, enabling next‐generation applications in energy

Connectome analysis with diffusion MRI in idiopathic Parkinson's disease: Evaluation using multi-shell, multi-tissue, constrained spherical deconvolution

open access: yesNeuroImage: Clinical, 2018
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects extensive regions of the central nervous system. In this work, we evaluated the structural connectome of patients with PD, as mapped by diffusion-weighted MRI tractography ...

CSD: Discriminance with Conic Section for Improving Reverse k Nearest Neighbors Queries

open access: yes, 2020
The reverse $k$ nearest neighbor (R$k$NN) query finds all points that have the query point as one of their $k$ nearest neighbors ($k$NN), where the $k$NN query finds the $k$ closest points to its query point. Based on the characteristics of conic section,

Interlinking securities settlement systems: a strategic commitment? [PDF]

open access: yes
Central securities depositories (CSDs) have opened mutual links, but most of them are seldom used. Why are idle links established? By allowing a foreign CSD to offer services through the link the domestic CSD invites competition.
