CSMa/CD with two persistence factors: a unified performance model for CSMA/CD

CSMA/CD (carrier-sense multiple-access with collision detection) protocols with two persistence factors is presented. One factor is used to define the protocol action if a station becomes ready when the channel is busy, and the other one is the normal persistence factor used to determine transmission rights. In diesem Beitrag wird die Anwendung des Nonpersistent CSMA-Protokolls bei einem Multi-hop-System untersucht. Die Durchsatzgleichung wird fur eine feste Konfiguration (Schleifennetzwerk) und fur ein Netz mit zufallig verteilten Stationen hergeleitet und numerisch ausgewertet.

P-CSMA: A Priority-Based CSMA Protocol for Multi-Hop Linear Wireless Networks

In this paper we consider a multi-hop wireless network, where a source transmits data to a destination node, through a route composed of multiple relays which are randomly distributed over a line. Priority-based Carrier-Sense Multiple Access (P-CSMA), a novel Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol, is proposed.
