Genome and transcriptome‐based identification and expression profiling of chemosensory gene families across developmental stages and tissues in Sirex noctilio (Hymenoptera: Siricidae)

open access: yesInsect Molecular Biology, Volume 35, Issue 3, Page 270-283, June 2026.
The first draft genome of Sirex noctilio was produced. Fifteen S. noctilio transcriptomes were sequenced to study chemosensory gene expression patterns. SnocOR16 and SnocSNMP1 displayed tissue‐ and sex‐specific expression patterns. Abstract The Sirex woodwasp (Sirex noctilio; Hymenoptera: Siricidae) is among the most destructive invasive pests ...

Multifaceted Interventions Based on Education and Recognition to Enhance Nurses' Compliance With Standard Precautions: A Quasi‐Experimental Design

open access: yesNursing &Health Sciences, Volume 28, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This study examines the effect of multifaceted interventions based on education (1) and recognition (2) of compliance with standard precautions (SPs). A quasi‐experimental research design with a one‐group pre‐test and post‐test was used. The purposive sample included 71 nurses working in different specialty units at a large hospital in Turkey.

Exploration of Collagen as Binder for Aqueous Zinc Batteries and Symmetric Carbon Supercapacitors

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
Aqueous dispersions of native collagen were successfully explored as “green” binders in oxide cathodes for zinc batteries and in carbon electrodes for aqueous double‐layer supercapacitors. Rechargeable water‐based metal batteries attract great attention due to low cost, high safety merits, sustainable cell fabrication and an easier recyclability at the

Impact of dose allocation between high‐ and low‐kV scans on virtual monoenergetic image quality in developmental dual‐energy cone‐beam CT for image‐guided radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Background Dual‐energy cone‐beam CT (DE‐CBCT) offers potential as an advanced imaging technique for image‐guided radiation therapy (IGRT) through the production of virtual monoenergetic images (VMI). CBCT‐VMI can show enhanced image quality, with improved CNR and reduced nonuniformity artifacts, compared to polychromatic images.
