Myocardial bridging: depiction rate and morphology at CT coronary angiography - comparison with conventional coronary angiography

open access: yes, 2008
PURPOSE: To prospectively assess the depiction rate and morphologic features of myocardial bridging (MB) of coronary arteries with 64-section computed tomographic (CT) coronary angiography in comparison to conventional coronary angiography. MATERIALS AND

Functionally relevant coronary artery disease: comparison of 64-section CT angiography with myocardial perfusion SPECT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
PURPOSE: To prospectively determine the accuracy of 64-section computed tomographic (CT) angiography for the depiction of coronary artery disease (CAD) that induces perfusion defects at myocardial perfusion imaging with single photon emission computed ...

GHRHR Deficiency Enhances Retinal Ganglion Cell Survival and Visual Functions in Experimental Glaucoma by Inhibiting Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.

Efficacy of color doppler imaging over CT angiography in peripheral arterial disease

open access: yesJournal of Integrated Health Sciences, 2017
Introduction : PAD is an atherosclerotic occlusive condition in which plaque builds up in the distal arteries. Until 10 years ago, conventional angiography and digital subtraction angiography were the only angiographic techniques used in peripheral ...

Engineering Ultrastable Intrinsic Radicals: Graphene Quantum Dots With NIR‐II Emission for Dynamic Deep‐Tissue Bioimaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stable radicals are attractive for photonic and quantum information technologies but are often limited by instability. We stabilize intrinsic radicals in graphene quantum dots via 2D polymerization of perylene derivatives, where bilayer defect confinement suppresses quenching (100–500 K).

Multimodal Imaging Follow-up of a Thrombosed Developmental Venous Anomaly: CT, CT Angiography and Digital Subtraction Angiography [PDF]

open access: yesNeurointervention, 2013
We report a rare case of thrombosed developmental venous anomaly (DVA) in a 31-year old male with hemorrhagic cerebral venous infarction at the initial clinical presentation. In this case, sequential CT, CT angiography and digital subtraction angiography

Role of CT Angiography in Detection of Extracranial Carotid and Vertebral Artery Disease in Patients With Acutely Ruptured Intracranial Aneurysms

open access: yesИнновационная медицина Кубани, 2023
Introduction: Computed tomography (CT) and CT angiography are standard imaging modalities for suspected acute intracerebral hemorrhage due to ruptured intracranial aneurysms.

A Rare De Novo Missense Mutation in IFT122 Confers a Genetic Susceptibility Factor of Idiopathic Pediatric Uveitis Via Trio‐based Whole‐Exome Sequencing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rare de novo IFT122‐A773E variant is identified in idiopathic pediatric uveitis and shown to exacerbate retinal inflammation and barrier dysfunction. Mechanistically, the variant enhances IFT43 interaction, elevates calcium signaling, and activates the MEK/ERK/FRA1 axis, revealing a previously unrecognized cilia‐associated pathway that may increase ...

Transient Sleep Deprivation Induces Persistent Auditory Neuropathy via ROS‐Initiated Neuroinflammation and BK Channel Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sleep disturbance severity closely tracks hearing loss in a clinical cohort, yet the mechanistic link remains unclear. Acute sleep deprivation is shown to trigger transient cochlear oxidative stress that switches into a self‐sustaining neuroinflammatory state, suppressing BK channels and causing irreversible synaptopathy.
