Complementary CT coronary angiography after negative selective coronary angiography

open access: yesJournal of the Belgian Society of Radiology, 2015
A 53-year-old male was admitted for typical acute chest pain. The ECG showed a mirror image of posterior myocardial ischemia. Initial biology was normal but cardiac markers (creatine kinase and troponin) rose later. Echocardiography did not reveal any hypokinetic myocardial segment. There was no left ventricular dysfunction or valvular disease.

Contrast Kinetics in CT Coronary Angiography. [PDF]

open access: yesIndian J Radiol Imaging
AbstractComputed tomography coronary angiography (CTCA) is a technically demanding radiological investigation that requires adequate opacification of coronary arteries at peak aortic enhancement phase, with minimal or no contrast in the superior vena cava and right-sided cardiac chambers to avoid streak artifacts of dense contrast.

Coronary CT Angiography [PDF]

open access: yesRadiology, 2007
Owing to ongoing technical refinements and intense scientific and clinical evaluations, computed tomography (CT) of the heart has left the research realm and matured into a clinical application that is about to fulfill its promise to replace invasive cardiac catheterization in selected patient populations.

Postmortem coronary CT angiography [PDF]

open access: yesIntensive Care Medicine, 2016
In the past few decades, the medical autopsy rate has markedly decreased owing to several factors such as the family’s refusal to provide consent, complexity of a time-consuming procedure, and fear of litigation in case of a missed diagnosis. On the other hand, CT and MR scans have increased the accuracy of diagnostic procedures and reduced the need ...

Ability of FFR-CT to detect the absence of hemodynamically significant lesions in patients with high-risk NSTE-ACS admitted in the emergency department with chest pain, study design and rationale

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cardiology: Heart & Vasculature, 2020
Background: In the era of High-sensitive troponin (hs-Tn), up to 50% of patients with a mild increase of hs-Tn will finally have a normal invasive coronary angiogram.
