Copulatory pattern of the subterranean rodent Ctenomys talarum
We describe qualitatively and quantitatively the copulatory pattern of Ctenomys talarum (tuco-tuco) and evaluate it according to that expected for induced ovulators. Mating trials were performed in an experimental apparatus consisting of three chambers. Copulatory pattern of C.

Individual differences in behaviour are related to metabolism, stress response, testosterone, and immunity in the subterranean rodent Ctenomys talarum [PDF]
The growth of personality research has led to the integration of consistent variation of individual behaviour in multidimensional approaches including physiological variables, which are required to continue building a more comprehensive theory about ...

Microvertebrates preserved in mammal burrows from the Holocene of the Argentine Pampas: a taphonomic and paleoecological approach [PDF]
Microvertebrates are a major component of many assemblages recovered from the Quaternary of the Argentine Pampas. The main goal of this paper is to analyse the taphonomic history of a Holocene microfossil bonebed, recovered from the infilling of a burrow.

Chromosome Polymorphisms inCtenomys Talarum(Rodentia, Octodontidae) [PDF]
SUMMARYChromosome polymorphisms involving shortening or total absence of short arms in several chromosome pairs were found to occur in different populations of the burrowing rodent Ctenomys talarum. In one population (2n = 48) G-bands showed dimorphic pairs having deletions varying in size from one band to a whole short arm.

HOME-RANGE AND ACTIVITY PATTERNS OF THE SOUTH AMERICAN SUBTERRANEAN RODENT CTENOMYS TALARUM [PDF]
Subterranean rodents are characterized by limited individual mobility and patchy distribution of local populations, all of which have been related to the great evolutionary diversification of this group. Because of their secretive habits, radiotracking becomes an essential tool to collect data systematically on characteristics of their space use, rate ...
