The fatigue crack growth behavior of hydrogenated 9Cr‐1Mo steel: An experimental and numerical study
Abstract This research investigates the fatigue crack evolution in P91 steel through experiments and extended finite element method (XFEM) simulation for as‐received and hydrogenated conditions. Hydrogen pre‐charging is performed using a constant current electrochemical method in 1 M sulfuric acid solution.

Object Grating Method Application in Strain Determination on CTOD Tests
Abstract: Standard fracture toughness tests require standard specimens with the presumption that mechanical properties are uniform in the crack growth direction. Standards for crack tip opening displacement (CTOD) fracture tests prescribe remote crack mouth opening displacement, which can lead to inadequate results in the case of heterogeneous ...

Crack Propagation Phenomenon in Gangue Concrete Using the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) Method
In order to study the mode I crack propagation mechanism of coal gangue concrete with different contents, the digital image correlation (DIC) method was used to carry out the three‐point bending fracture tests on coal gangue concrete with different contents.

Influence and evaluation of constraint on fracture toughness in pipeline research [PDF]
Accessing nowadays fossil fuel reserves requires a strain-based design approach. Within such design, the ductile tearing resistance is a key parameter in assessing the defect tolerance. To determine this tearing resistance, full scale (pressurized) tests
