CellLab-CTS 2015: continuous-time stochastic cellular automaton modeling using Landlab

open access: yes, 2016
. CellLab-CTS 2015 is a Python-language software library for creating two-dimensional, continuous-time stochastic (CTS) cellular automaton models. The model domain consists of a set of grid nodes, with each node assigned an integer state code that ...

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Exposure–response relationships for the ACGIH threshold limit value for hand-activity level: results from a pooled data study of carpal tunnel syndrome

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2014
OBJECTIVES: This paper aimed to quantify exposure–response relationships between the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists’ (ACGIH) threshold limit value (TLV) for hand-activity level (HAL) and incidence of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS)

Improved Collective Thomson Scattering measurements of fast ions at ASDEX Upgrade

open access: yes, 2013
Understanding the behaviour of the confined fast ions is important in both current and future fusion experiments. These ions play a key role in heating the plasma and will be crucial for achieving conditions for burning plasma in next-step fusion devices.

Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Characterizing epithelial‐mesenchymal transition‐linked heterogeneity in breast cancer circulating tumor cells at a single‐cell level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In over 50% of non‐metastatic breast cancer patients, circulating tumor cells (CTCs) along the whole epithelial‐mesenchymal transition spectrum are detected. Total CTC number and individual phenotypes relate to aggressive disease characteristics, including lymph node involvement and higher tumor proliferation. At the single‐cell level, mesenchymal CTCs

The prevalence and incidence of carpal tunnel syndrome in US working populations

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2014
In the September issue of the Scandinavian Journal of Work, Environment and Health, Dale et al (1) estimated the prevalence and incidence of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) by pooling the raw individual-level data of six diverse prospective studies in US ...

PERBANDINGAN KONFIGURASI TANGAN DAN PERGELANGAN TANGAN PADA PASIEN CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME DENGAN ORANG NORMAL [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Background : Most cases of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome are idiopathic. The dimensions of the hand and wrist is an important factor in the development of CTS. Aim : Knowing the difference of hand ratio and wrist ratio between CTS and normal people. Methods :

The IFNγ‐CIITA‐MHC II axis modulates melanoma cell susceptibility to NK‐cell‐mediated cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Natural killer (NK) cells play a central role in anti‐melanoma immunity. However, melanoma cells adapt during co‐culture by upregulating CIITA and MHC II in response to interferon gamma (IFNγ), thereby evading NK‐cell lysis. Blocking IFNγ signaling or treatment with dimethyl fumarate/simvastatin counteracts this immune escape and maintains NK‐cell ...
