Modified cellulose by polyethyleneimine and ethylenediamine with induced Cu(II) and Pb(II) adsorption potentialities.

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2018
In order to synthesize adsorbent that can effectively absorb heavy metals in a simple and economical way, this study described the fabrication of adsorbents based on cellulose acetate (CA).

UV irradiation induced simultaneous reduction of Cu(II) and degradation of EDTA in Cu(II)-EDTA in wastewater containing Cu(II)-EDTA

Journal of Hazardous Materials
Decomplexation of Cu(II)-EDTA followed by chemical precipitation of free Cu(II) ions can effectively degrade EDTA in Cu(II)-EDTA and remove Cu(II), but requires large precipitant dosage and inevitably produces a large amount of copper-containing sludge that is difficult to deal with.

1D coordination polymers of Cu(II) and Cu(II) dimers with a dicyanomethanide ligand

Polyhedron, 2010
Abstract Several new 1D coordination polymers have been synthesised using the anionic ligand carbamoyldicyanomethanide, C(CN)2(CONH2)− (cdm). The polymeric complexes [Cu(cdm)2(py)2]·2MeOH (1), [Cu(cdm)2(4-Etpy)2]·2MeOH (2), [Cu(cdm)2(3,5-Me2pzH)2]·2MeOH (3) and [Cu(cdm)2(3-HOCH2py)2]·2MeOH (4) (py = pyridine; 3,5-Me2pzH = 3,5-dimethylpyrazole ...

Multiplicity of Histidine-Cu(II) Complexes

Nature, 1959
THE stability constants of the histidine complexes of several metals have been determined by several workers1–4. Satisfactory values of the stability constants can be calculated from titration data for all the metals investigated except Cu(II). Albert3 suggested that the anomalies in the histidine – Cu(II) system are due to the planar configuration of ...

Phosphatidylcholine peroxidation induced by Cu(II) and some Cu(II) complexes.

Acta physiologica et pharmacologica Bulgarica, 1988
We established that Cu(II) and its complexes with aspirin, indomethacin and cimetidine produced lipid peroxidation in phosphatidylcholine suspension. Ionic copper was found to have the most pronounced effect, while the effect of the complexes depends on the ligand. Neither of the ligands exerted a prooxidative effect. NADH sharply increased the effects

Peroxide Scavenging by Cu(II) Sulfate and Cu(II) (3,5-Diisopropylsalicylate)2

1987
The production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in biological systems provides key mediators of physiological and pathological processes. Arguably the most important of this class are the partially reduced oxygen species, which include the superoxide anion radical (O2 ÷), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and the hydroxyl radical (•OH). These species have been

2008
The features of electric- and photoconductivity as well as the influence of an electric field on the transmission of linearly polarized light in the films of composites based on polyvinylbutyral doped with polymeric particles of the complexes Cu(II)/Mn(II) with ''skeleton'' and ''sandwich'' structures are investigated.
