A Multi‐Dimensional Cathodoluminescence Detector With 3D Printed Micro‐Optics on a Fiber

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 4, April 2026.
A fiber‐based cathodoluminescence (CL) spectroscopy detector is realized by printing a micro‐optical lens directly onto the fiber's facet using two‐photon polymerization. This compact collection scheme enables efficient CL acquisition across complex sample geometries, offering simplified alignment, modular integration, and access to spatially resolved ...

Melting temperature of diamond and cubic boron nitride at 15 gigapascals

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2019
The melting temperature of diamond has not yet been experimentally measured under static pressure and these data for cubic boron nitride (cBN) are scarce.

Microstructural and Thermal Evolution of Turbostratic and Crystalline hBN Using SPS With In‐Situ YAG

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 4, April 2026.
hBN ceramics with an in‐situ formed YAG phase were fabricated by SPS using turbostratic and crystalline powders. The results show that the microstructure, textural orientation, and functional properties of hBN ceramics can be significantly controlled by sintering temperature, starting powder structure, and additives.

Improving the wear resistance of guides: tribological analysis, surface texture and lubricants

open access: yesПроблеми трибології
The article considers the main failure modes of guides, in particular wear and contact fatigue, which depend on friction between contact surfaces. The influence of tribological parameters, in particular surface roughness and lubricating structures, on ...

Unravelling friction anisotropy by atomic force microscopy

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, Volume 302, Issue 1, Page 111-144, April 2026.
Abstract Friction plays a crucial role in both natural phenomena, from the flow of blood cells to earthquakes, and technological applications, from car engines to wind turbines. One of the most fundamental aspects of tribology is friction anisotropy, that is, the dependence of the friction force vector on the direction of sliding.

Effect of Mechanical Activation and High Pressure High Temperature Treatment on Synthesis of Material Based on Nanostructured Boron Nitride

open access: yesМеханика машин, механизмов и материалов, 2019
In the paper, the study of the influence of mechanical activation (MA) and subsequent high pressure high temperature (HPHT) treatment of the powder of hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) on its structure and phase composition is given.
