Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Thermodynamic aspects of materials' hardness: prediction of novel superhard high-pressure phases
In the present work we have proposed the method that allows one to easily estimate hardness and bulk modulus of known or hypothetical solid phases from the data on Gibbs energy of atomization of the elements and corresponding covalent radii.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Sintering of low-melting glass powders and glass-abrasive composites [PDF]
Sintering of glass powders in Na2O-B2O3-SiO2 and PbO-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 systems as well as of their mixtures has been studied. The process of sintering is shown to change because of crystallization of the glass of the PbO-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 system.

Broadband Transmission Properties of cBN-Si Interfaces
We analyze the real and imaginary parts of cBN in a broad wavelength range both 0.5-1.0 µm and 1.36-10 µm respectively, and use both Fresnel theory and Meep software package to calculate the transmittance and reflectance.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

The Analysis of the Transformation Mechanism of cBN Crystals with the First-Principle Calculation
To clarify the synthesis mechanism of cubic boron nitride (cBN) with catalysts at high temperature and high pressure, we calculate the surface energy of the main phases in the Li-N-B synthesis system using the first-principle method. Based on the density

C16 Phase High Entropy Borides With High Magnetic Anisotropy
Rare‐earth‐free C16‐phase high entropy boride thin films exhibit enhanced magnetic anisotropy with coercivities surpassing their binary and ternary counterparts. Combinatorial synthesis of (Fe‐Co‐Ni‐Mn)2B films combined with density functional theory enables mapping of the magnetic properties across the composition space, revealing high entropy ...
