Risk of Placental Pathology Across Ultrasound‐Defined Phenotypes of Impaired Fetal Growth in Dichorionic Twins: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, Volume 133, Issue 8, Page 1616-1628, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To determine the risk of placental dysfunction associated with different ultrasound‐based phenotypes of impaired fetal growth in dichorionic twin pregnancies. Design Retrospective cohort study. Setting Single tertiary centre. Population Patients with dichorionic twin pregnancies delivered at ≥ 320/7 (2011–2023) (N = 753).

Association of Triglyceride‐Glucose Index, Triglyceride/HDL Cholesterol Ratio and Metabolic Score for Insulin Resistance With Asymptomatic Organ Damage in Previously Untreated Patients With Hypertension

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Hypertension, Volume 28, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT We aimed to examine the association between insulin resistance (IR) and target organ damage (TOD) in patients with hypertension. Three indices of IR (Triglyceride‐Glucose index: TyG; triglyceride‐to‐HDL ratio: TG/HDL‐C; Metabolic Score for Insulin Resistance: METS‐IR) were examined for their association with TOD in 614 newly diagnosed patients

Networks of respiratory‐muscular coupling in exercise and fatigue in young adults

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 13, July 2026.
Amplitude‐amplitude cross‐frequency coupling (ACFC) is a novel method to quantify respiratory‐muscular dynamic interactions using breathing‐rate time series and EMG frequency‐band activity from distinct muscles. ACFC‐derived network maps show that respiratory‐muscular coupling increases with fatigue accumulation.

Diverse Connections Between Climate Extremes and Agricultural Loss Across the Southern Slopes of the Himalayas

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract The increasing frequency of drought, heat stress and extreme precipitation is intensifying risks to agricultural systems in the Southern Slopes of the Himalaya (SSH) under climate change. Understanding crop loss responses across cropping systems is critical for regional food security.

Bioinspired Shape‐Memory Hook Fasteners With Programmable Interlocking and Silent Release

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
Bioinspired hook fasteners made from epoxy shape‐memory polymers are shown to switch between strong, secure attachment and gentle, silent release when heated. By combining programmable geometry and material response, these adaptive fasteners outperform commercial systems in strength and noise control, enabling new solutions for robotics, medical ...

On the Cauchy transform and complex cubic splines

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2003
In this paper we approximate the Cauchy transform of a complex function on a simple closed curve, using an interpolation cubic spline function given by Iancu (1987).

Cubic Spline Interpolation: A Review

open access: yes, 1988
The purpose of this paper is to review the fundamentals of interpolating cubic splines. We begin by defining a cubic spline in Section 1. Since we are dealing with interpolating splines, constraints are imposed to guarantee that the spline actually passes through the given data points. These constraints are described in Section 2.

Error Analysis of Spatial Shape Reconstruction of FBG-based Thin Plate

open access: yesGuangtongxin yanjiu
【Objective】In order to realize the rapid and accurate detection and reconstruction of the spatial shape of the plate structure, a 4-point Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) string is surface-mounted on a high-manganese steel thin plate to form a shape-sensing ...
