Absorption Spectrum of Er3 + Ions in Cubic Zirconia

Physica Status Solidi (a), 1972
Yttria-stabilized zirconia crystals doped with Er3+ ions were prepared from the melt using a large solar furnace. In order to investigate the oxygen ion coordination around Y3+ ion using Er3+ ion as a probe, the absorption spectra of the crystals were measured in the spectral region 30000 to 4000 cm−1.

Orbital-decomposed electronic structures of cubic zirconia

Solid State Communications, 2012
The detailed orbital-decomposed electronic structures of the cubic zirconia have been investigated by using the first-principles projector augmented wave (PAW) potential within the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) as well as taking into account the on-site Coulomb repulsive interaction (GGA þU). The optimized lattice constant of 5.086 ˚ A is in

Theoretical investigation of nitrogen substitution in cubic zirconia

Physical Review B, 2007
Nitrogen substitution of oxygen ions in cubic zirconia was studied theoretically at density functional level. Nitrogen contents of 12.5 and $3.1%$ were studied with ${\mathrm{Zr}}_{8}{\mathrm{O}}_{16\ensuremath{-}m}{\mathrm{N}}_{2}$ and ${\mathrm{Zr}}_{32}{\mathrm{O}}_{64\ensuremath{-}m}{\mathrm{N}}_{2}$ supercells.
