Recent Developments and Prospects on Functional Graphene‐Based Nanocomposites as Potential Sulfur Hosts for Next‐Generation Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 8, Issue 5, September 2025.
This article comprehensively summarizes the potential applications of pure graphene, heteroatom‐modified graphene, and graphene‐based nanocomposite frameworks as potential hosts for sulfur to develop promising cathode materials for next‐generation LiSBs. Lithium‐sulfur batteries have been developing in recent years and appear to offer an alternative to

The effect of different surface treatments on the shear bond strength of new generation zirconia

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, Volume 22, Issue 5, September/October 2025.
Twelve zirconia subgroups were created using different material types and surface treatments. Sandblasting and tribochemical silica coating significantly improved shear bond strength. Bond strength varied based on zirconia type, surface treatment, and their interaction, emphasizing the importance of surface preparation.

Achievement of high energy density and efficiency in Bi(Mg0.5Hf0.5)O3 modified Ba0.55Sr0.45TiO3 ceramics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, Volume 22, Issue 5, September/October 2025.
BMH introduction in BST lattice disrupted the long range ferroelectric domains transforming it to polar nano regions (PNRs) that lead to increased bandgap and hence increaed the dielectric breakdown field with slimer P‐E loop. Abstract (1 ‒ x)Ba0.55Sr0.45TiO3‒xBi(Mg0.5Hf0.5)O3 [(1 ‒ x)BST‒xBMH] (x = 0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, and 0.20) ceramics were ...
