Electrochemiluminescence immunosensor for cytokeratin fragment antigen 21-1 detection using electrochemically mediated atom transfer radical polymerization

open access: yesMicrochimica Acta, 2021
The cytokeratin fragment antigen 21-1 (CYFRA 21-1) protein is a critical tumor biomarker tightly related to non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Herein, we prepared an effective electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunosensor for CYFRA 21-1 detection using ...

CYFRA 21-1 predicts efficacy of combined chemoimmunotherapy in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a prospective observational study

open access: yesTranslational Lung Cancer Research
Background Tumor markers such as serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and cytokeratin fragment 19 (CYFRA 21-1) are utilized for assessing the effectiveness of chemotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.

Serum CYFRA 21-1 as a Prognostic Marker in Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer Patients Treated with Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors

open access: yesCancers
Simple Summary A prognostic marker in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies must be established. In this study, a high serum cytokeratin fraction 21–1 (CYFRA 21-1) level was found to be a poor prognostic

Role of the Multicopper Oxidase CueO in Copper Homeostasis Under Anaerobic Conditions in Enterobacteria

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 124, Issue 4, Page 297-309, October 2025.
The periplasmic multicopper oxidase CueO oxidizes cuprous ions (Cu+) to cupric ions (Cu2+), a well‐known process typically coupled with oxygen reduction. In this study, we report unexpected anaerobic phenotypes associated with CueO, suggesting that it may use an alternative electron acceptor in the absence of oxygen.

Modeling highly pathogenic avian influenza transmission in wild birds and poultry in West Bengal, India. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Wild birds are suspected to have played a role in highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 outbreaks in West Bengal. Cluster analysis showed that H5N1 was introduced in West Bengal at least 3 times between 2008 and 2010.

MicroRNA-181b-2 and MicroRNA-21-1 Negatively Regulate NF-κB and IRF3-Mediated Innate Immune Responses via Targeting TRIF in Teleost

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2021
Upon recognition of bacterial or viral components by Toll-like receptors (TLRs), cells could be activated to induce a series of reactions to produce inflammatory cytokines, type I interferon (IFN), and IFN stimulating genes (ISG).
