A Study on the Cargo Cult and Colonial Architecture in the Melanesian Region of the South Pacific
Journal of Korea Intitute of Spatial Design, 2017 태평양 소형국가는 지속적인 문화식민의 역사와 경제식민을 거쳐 오고 있다. 본연구의 배경은 프랑스 영국 공동문화권의 바누아투와 프랑스 문화권의 뉴칼레도니아를 중심으로 연구배경을 정했다. 초기의 남태평양은 영국과 프랑스의 식민지 개척의 결과이고 최근의 관계는 지정학적 결과로 오스트레일리아 뉴질랜드 중국 일본의 진출이 현저한 양상이다. 이러한 상황에서 태평양 시대의 동아시아권역인 우리의 참여도 중요한 시점으로 생각된다. 뉴칼레도니아와 바누아투는 태평양의 3개 권역 중 멜라네시아 권역에 속하는 국가다. 이 두 나라의 사례들을 중심으로 연구해 보고자 한다.
