Hell's Itch: An Acute Reaction to Sunburn Exposure
JEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.ABSTRACT Hell's itch is a neurocutaneous dysesthesia following sunburn that is underreported in scientific literature despite considerable discussion online. ‘Hell's itch’ describes an acute, uncontrollable itch with intense stabbing pain several days post‐sunburn and often follows an inciting event such as water exposure.
