Regeneração e germinação de embriões somáticos oriundos de calos das tangerineiras Cleópatra e Sunki Tropical. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A embriogênese somática consiste no processo de regeneração de plantas a partir do cultivo in vitro onde células somáticas desenvolvem-se por meio de diferentes estádios embriogênicos, formando estruturas semelhantes a embriões zigóticos. A utilização de

Functional and Structural Analysis Reveals Distinct Biological Roles of Plant Synaptotagmins in Response to Environmental Stress

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 48, Issue 1, Page 260-271, January 2025.
ABSTRACT Endoplasmic reticulum–plasma membrane contact sites (ER–PM CSs) are evolutionarily conserved membrane domains found in all eukaryotes, where the ER closely interfaces with the PM. This short distance is achieved in plants through the action of tether proteins such as synaptotagmins (SYTs).

Analysis of the immunomodulatory properties of mycobacterium cell wall fraction on the cytokine production of peripheral blood mononuclear cells of healthy dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 35, Issue 6, Page 595-604, December 2024.
Background – Mycobacterium cell wall fraction (MCWF) is derived from nonpathogenic Mycobacterium phlei and is used as an immunomodulatory compound in clinical practice, yet its mode‐of‐action requires further research. Objective – To evaluate the host response to MCWF in canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) by using enzyme‐linked ...

Commodity risk assessment of Petunia spp. and Calibrachoa spp. unrooted cuttings from Costa Rica

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 22, Issue 11, November 2024.
Abstract The European Commission requested the EFSA Panel on Plant Health to evaluate the probability of entry of pests (likelihood of pest freedom at entry), including both regulated and non‐regulated pests, associated with unrooted cuttings of the genera Petunia and Calibrachoa produced under physical isolation in Costa Rica.

Maize insensitivity to culture filtrates from Exserohilum turcicum is related to quantitative resistance

open access: yesJournal of Phytopathology, Volume 172, Issue 4, July/August 2024.
Abstract Turcicum leaf blight (TLB) of maize is caused by Exserohilum turcicum. The TLB resistance is mainly associated with qualitative race‐specific resistance that is linked to several Ht genes namely Ht1, Ht2, Ht3, HtM, HtN, HtNB and HtP. However, quantitative TLB resistance also occurs, but its mechanisms are poorly understood.
