The Influence of the Electrolyte on Lithium Transport Through the DAAQ‐TFP‐COF Structure: A Molecular Dynamics Study

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2026.
We study the interaction between a DAAQ‐TFP‐COF based electrode and two differente electrolytes, LiTFSI@TEGDME and LiPF6@EC/DEC, with classical molecular dynamics. We adress the correlation between structural properties and ion transport mechanisms. We stress the importance of the choice of the electrolyte in battery design.

Shedding Light on the Precatalytic Mixture of Pd(OAc)2 and Cooperating Bipyridone Ligands for the C─H Functionalization of Arenes

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 1, 15 January 2026.
The reactions of the common palladium precursors Pd(OAc)2 and PdCl2 and cooperating bipyridone ligands leads to well defined complexes which are general precatalysts for the direct C─H arylation of arenes, more active than Pd(OAc)2/ligand mixtures in nonpolar solvents.

Chemical Aspects Influencing Crack Formation in Black‐and‐White Oil‐Based Paints: Study of Five Spanish Abstract Informalist Paintings by Antonio Saura (1930–1998)

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study explores the chemical and physical mechanisms behind the distinct cracking patterns observed in the black‐painted areas of five works by Antonio Saura. Multiband imaging and portable digital microscopy were employed to document the morphology and distribution of crack patterns.

Workflow for the Isolation and Characterisation of Human Milk Extracellular Vesicles (HMEVs) and Their Inflammatory Biomarker Profile

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Human milk extracellular vesicles (HMEVs), secreted by mammary epithelial cells, are enriched in bioactive molecules that support intestinal epithelial integrity. Among these, oxylipins, that is, lipid mediators derived from polyunsaturated fatty acids, are gaining interest for their immunomodulatory and neuroprotective functions in breastfed ...
