Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Pre-reformation roots of the protestant ethic [PDF]
We hypothesize that cultural appreciation of hard work and thrift, the Protestant ethic according to Max Weber, had a pre-Reformation origin. The proximate source of these values was, according to the proposed theory, the Catholic Order of Cistercians.

The TopCas platform utilizes an engineered DNA‐RNA chimeric circular crRNA to establish topology‐gated control over CRISPR‐Cas12a activity, enabling target‐triggered self‐catalytic amplification (preamplification‐free). This system seamlessly integrates highly sensitive molecular diagnostics with conditionally controlled gene editing, demonstrating ...

ABSTRACT Blood‐based liquid biopsies hold transformative potential for non‐invasive cancer management, but current approaches relying on rare circulating tumor components limit their broad clinical utility. Platelets, abundant in blood and mediating diverse cancer‐associated responses, represent a compelling yet largely unexplored alternative.
