Cup-markings near Moulin, Perthshire
Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, 1927An outcrop of rock near Moulin is in an elevated position with a good view of the Tummel and Tay valley. The are 14 cups carved into the rock. One set of 5 cups, and another set of 3, lie in two straight lines running as nearly as possible east and west.

Cup-marked Stones in Strathtay, Perthshire
Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, 1922Cup-marked stones at a variety of sites are described. The stone at Bailandun is partly embedded in a burial mound. At Balnabeggan the stone has 59 cups, some of which are connected by grooves. Stones from Glen Brerachan and Balvaran which were previously reported are illustrated here. Anatolian Studies, 1975Hollows and “cup-marks”, i.e. small round depressions of various sizes, are associated with a number of Hittite and Neo-Hittite stone monuments. They are carved on the surface of the monuments and in the case of rock reliefs they are cut in the surface of the adjacent rock.
