Biflavones of some Cupressaceae plants

Phytochemistry, 1970
Abstract Two solvent systems, viz. toluene:pyridine:acetic acid (10:1:1) and toluene:DMF:acetic acid (10:1:1) have been found to be useful for the TLC study of biflavones in conifer extracts; these solvents have also been used for obtaining chromatographically pure biflavones and their methyl ethers by preparative TLC and “dry column” chromatography.
