2023Stephanocleonus (s. str.) sinitsyni sp. n. from the Eastern Tien Shan (Ketmen ridge) is described. It fits near S. (s. str.) simulans Faust differing by the larger size, X-shaped crossbands on the pronotum sides, broad medial convexity on the rostrum and strongly curved penis.

The article deals with the results of ecological and faunistic investigation of the genus Apion Herbst in the Crimea where 65 species of this Curculionidae were found. In the mountainous Crimea about 70% of Apion species were found on moist meadows in the river valleys, on brook banks and lawns of mountain slopes with mesophyllous meadow vegetation. In
