Geothermal gradients were estimated at the points of a grid with cell size of 50 km by 50 km in northwestern Colombia. Depths to the bottom of magnetic sources were assumed to represent Curie depths, and were estimated by means of statistical-spectral ...

Geothermal Energy Potential of the Chad Basin, North-Eastern Nigeria
In this research paper, the sub-surface heat flow of a part of the Chad Basin, in North eastern Nigerian was estimated using spectral analysis. This was obtained from twenty (20) digitized High Resolution Aeromagnetic (HRAM) data sheet covering the ...

Estimation of Curie point depths in the Southern Vietnam continental shelf using magnetic data [PDF]
This study attempts to estimate the thermal structure in the Southern Vietnam continental shelf by calculating the Curie point depth isotherm using magnetic data. The Curie point depth values, from 49 overlapping blocks 128 × 128 km in size, have been estimated by the exponential approach.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Depth perception with gaze-contingent depth of field [PDF]
Blur in images can create the sensation of depth because it emulates an optical property of the eye; namely, the limited depth of field created by the eye's lens. When the human eye looks at an object, this object appears sharp on the retina, but objects

Artificial molecular machines and motors—Design and control of nanoscale motion
Molecules are constantly moving because of thermal fluctuations, but random motion alone cannot be exploited to perform directional tasks. Artificial molecular machines use chemical, electrical, or light energy to bias this motion. Molecular shuttles, rotary motors, and supramolecular pumps illustrate how nanoscale movement can be controlled and ...

A note on withdrawal through a point sink in fluid of finite depth [PDF]
Withdrawal flow through a point sink on the bottom of a fluid of finite depth is considered. The fluid is at rest at infinity, and a stagnation point is present at the free surface, directly above the point sink. Numerical solutions are computed by means

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
